Anchorage Crossings Building
The Insurance Building
Anchorage Crossings, once known as Kentucky Central Life and Accident Insurance Building, was built at the railroad crossing by the Citizens National Life Insurance Company, It leased space to the home office of the Southern Pacific Railroad which created a solid tax base that helped pay for the newly created independent school district building. The building eventually evolved into the Louisville School of Art. In recent years, it has been redesigned as office space.
